The run

Part of the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River (National Park Service). Mostly easy riffles and long pools with bald eagles, plus Skinners Falls, a Class II ledge rapid that draws a crowd.

Hazards

Skinners Falls becomes pushy above about 6,000 cfs; cold spring water and quick weather changes.

Season

May-October; summer flows are dam-supported from the New York City reservoirs.
